On Saturday 14th October I had the pleasure of capturing a wonderful autumn wedding. The ceremony was held at St Mary's church in Benhall and the reception was at the beautiful Bruisyard Barn. It was a gorgeous day as the sun shone through the golden leaves at the church, and the evening entertainment was superb with a fantastic ceilidh dance. Lauren and Michael had hoped for their ceremony to be held outside but unfortunately the weather was not on their side and had been raining that morning. This was my last 'summer' evening shoot of 2017 as Autumn is knocking on the door. The light was absolutely beautiful and these three boys were so good! Especially as they had come from nearly 2 hours drive away just for me to photograph them. We had a great time running about with paper aeroplanes, picking daisies and blowing dandelions, my idea of good childhood fun. On Saturday 19th August I set off to the beautiful Hush Venues on the outskirts of Norwich to photograph the wedding of Nicci and Matt. They had travelled up from Essex just to get married at this venue as they had dreamed of an outdoor wedding in the woods, and Hush venues has just this. Nicci spent the morning getting ready in the cottage and then took a walk through the wild flower meadow and into the woods for the ceremony. After tying the knot in the old wood shed they then celebrated into the night playing games on the lawn, and enjoying ice cream and a bonfire. They spent the night in the field adjacent doing a bit of 'posh camping'. A lot of Nicci's time had gone into their wedding, including making the bridesmaid dresses herself!

It was a lovely sunny day for Lauren and Michael's pre-wedding photo shoot at Covehithe. We took the little walk from the church down to the beach which is always pretty quiet. Along the way we came across a field that had been harvested and thought the bales would make for some lovely photos too. My second weekend of mini sessions took place in one of my favourite locations on a beautiful summer evening as the sun was starting to set. I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE the golden hour. It is well worth keeping your little one up a little bit later than normal to capture your images during this time. The light is soft and warm and creates a magical feel to the photographs. I met up with Rebecca and Ryan at the beautiful Peter Beales Rose Gardens in Attleborough for their pre-wedding photo shoot. It is somewhere they visit often and have always thought it would make an ideal location for photos. I couldn't agree more! It was absolutely stunning. Not only did it look amazing, the smell was incredible too. We had a great time walking around the gardens and they had me in fits of laughter the whole time. Jessica and Kyle were my lucky winners from my Valentines competition, which meant they had their engagement photoshoot absolutely free! Aren't I nice? :D We met up at Gorleston beach, which is beautiful, though a tad bit windy. That didn't stop us creating some beautiful images to celebrate their engagement though. This last image was a fun request as they both run and you don't often think to get running photos of adults. Jessica had actually recently completed the London Marathon! Go Girl!

On Saturday 22nd April I had the pleasure of photographing a very special day for Jean and David. They were my lucky winners from the competition that I ran in January. It was a beautiful and relaxed day, which was a bit surprising as they had just recently moved house on top of planning their wedding within a few months! They tied the knot at All Saints Church, Belton where Jean had been a youth worker and everyone felt like family which was very touching. They stayed at the church for afternoon tea and music before being driven off into the sunset. Enjoy a few images from their day:

Kate and Adam tied the knot on a beautiful sunny spring day. I don't think the sun stopped shining all day! I arrived at Kate's home where she was busy getting ready, having her make up done by the very talented Perfection by Kelly Mullender. She looked stunning! When I arrived at the church to snap a few shots of the (rather nervous) groom he realised that he and the best man had completely forgotten their button holes. Luckily with a quick phone call they arrived at the church just in time. After the ceremony I took the happy couple into the nearby field for a few pictures as Kate had bought some smoke bombs. It was a tad windy so they didn't last too long but they were very effective. The reception was held at Giardino's in Lowestoft and the food was incredible. It is also nicely situated within Sparrows Nest gardens which meant we were able to take a few more photos later in the day. Here are a handful of the images that I captured for them that day;

These two were real troopers on the day of their engagement photography session as it was VERY cold and windy. We met up at Burgh Castle, Norfolk to take a stroll around the ruins. It was a spot that they enjoyed walking together when they had first met so it was lovely that it had some meaning to them. On route to the castle from the car park I had to tell them to stop for a quick photo as there were some glorious sun rays appearing through the clouds. It definitely made the cold walk worth it. There were some fantastic views from the top of the hill so I will be sure to go back and visit with other couples in the future. Here are just a few of the images from their photo shoot:

Ok so I'm a little behind on updating my blog but better late than never...

On Saturday 18th March 2017 I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Karen and Nick's wedding day at the beautiful venue which is Bruisyard Hall and Barn. It is a fantastic venue and the staff where amazing (and the food!). The hall has so many little corridors and secret staircases which lead to many bedrooms and games rooms. Upon arriving at the hall I bumped into the lads who were just getting back from a game of golf, and the bride's sister making the wedding cake!

Karen and Nick had requested a very informal and relaxed approach to their wedding photography with no formal shots or posing. This made my day as I love photographing moments as they happen. Here are just some of the images from their special day:
